We’ve already talked about the study from the University of Glasgow that suggests, as many had already suspected, dogs have their own individual musical tastes.

After learning dogs have different music tastes, Spotify decided to get into pet adoption.

The streaming service has joined the cause and partnered with the animal shelter Tierschutzverein München e.V.

The agency Serviceplan developed a brilliant campaign based on the idea of bringing dogs and owners together based on their musical tastes.

The result is “Adoptify”.

The project’s website features dogs waiting for adoption at the animal shelter in Munich, showing funny videos from which emerges what kind of music each dog prefers.

Spotify supports the project as an intermediary.

No other music provider knows and analyses the musical preferences of their listeners as well as Spotify. We will use this to make recommendations to users by displaying dogs who like the same music in personalized video banners”, explains Hans-Peter Sporer, Creative Director at Serviceplan Campaign X.
