When the world was on fire for Fun’s song "We Are Young", since Chevrolet’s ad

Certainly you all remember the song "We Are Young" by American band Fun featuring Janelle Monáe.
Released on September 20, 2011, it was the lead single from the album Some Nights (2012).
The song became a huge worldwide commercial success, gaining attention from different kind of media and reaching number one in several countries.
But the reason why it’s so interesting is his role in advertising.
In fact, the song appeared in the 2012 Chevy Sonic commercial that also features Ok Go and skateboarder Rob Dyrdek and was first aired during January's Super Bowl XLVI.
Andrew Bancroft, associate creative director for Chevy's agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, told Billboard that the agency considered "hundreds of songs" before choosing this Fun’s track.
"It's a beautiful song, with a number of different projections in that
driving beat and very sweet melody,"
Bancroft said to Billboard
"It just felt right for the campaign and kept rising to the top."
He liked the track so much he selected it even before pairing it with the ad's footage, a rarity in music-synching terms.
"Chevrolet instantly fell in love with it, too,"
added Hunter Hindman, Goodby's executive creative director.
"We could go through trying a couple different tracks against, but it turned out once we played this song even during a rough, rough early cut…
there was no question, it was just great."
However, even before that, the song was covered by the television show Glee on the episode "Hold On to Sixteen", aired in December 2011.
It topped the digital charts in February 2012 and became a mainstream hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
