Mind The Gap, how to have a short film scored by an Oscar-winning composer

ReScored is a short film contest that gives emerging directors the chance to have their short film scored by Oscar-winning composer Steven Price, who maybe you know best for scoring Gravity, Suicide Squad and Edgar Wright’s forthcoming Baby Driver.
The competition has been created by the sound system specialists Sonos and Abbey Road Studios in order support of British filmmaking.
Mind the Gap has been selected by a panel of four judges—Giles Martin, Miranda Sawyer, Simon Cellan Jones and Steven Price – and, as the winning film, it was re-scored by Steven Price in the Abbey Road Studios.
Luke Flanagan, the winner film-director, spoke about the new soundtrack recording process:
“Truly a once in a lifetime experience. Steven and his team delivered a feeling of a feature film scale to our short. The performance of the live orchestra to an audience created something in the room we could all feel, prompting me to see things in the film I hadn't before. It was magical.”
