He has become well known for his celebrity-packed "Carpool Karaoke" sessions, and now he's starring in his own advertisement for Apple Music.
This commercial uses music in a very different way. The Apple Music ad takes a starkly different approach at showing off the streaming music service.
Corden appeared in Apple Music's two-minute video as part of a marketing pitch meeting, offering commercial ideas to Apple executives Jimmy Iovine, Eddy Cue, and Bozoma Saint John.
The comedic aspects of this ad are focused on the deep relationship that we have with music. It makes us laugh because Corden touches our favorite music stars, as well as the iconic identity of Apple.
So, the Apple Music commercial ideas include Corden as David Bowie, Corden imitating Spice Girls, Corden as Pharrell – with an unexpected Pharrell’s cameo appearance, but also James Corden swimming in a sea of iconic apples.
It’s clear as day that this new funny approach is a big success.
