Elvis Presley, Ocean’s Eleven, JXL and Nike….what do they have in common?

Elvis Presley has made pop history 25 years after his death with the new version of the single “A Little Less Conversation“.

The song was originally realized for the 1968 film Live a Little, Love a Little.

Then, in June 1968 Elvis re-recorded the song for the program ‘68 Comeback Special, starring Elvis.

The song reappeared in the 2001 film Ocean’s Eleven and then A Little Less Conversation grabbed the attention of musician Tom Holkenborg, aka Junkie XL, also known as JXL.

In 2002, Junkie XL remixed the track, an electronic remix featured Elvis with a lower voice. He added emphasis to the guitars, horns and get a touch of funk drum beat.

This version became a worldwide hit and was awarded certifications in ten countries by 2003.

The song remixed by Junkie XL became also soundtrack for Nike‘s 2002 FIFA World Cup advertising campaign, titled “Secret Tournament”.

Do you remember it? Of course you do!
